Full Description:

The client:
• A multi-national distribution company near Warrington is looking for a Credit Controller to join their team.

Finance responsibilities:
• Responsible for all aspects of credit control (consumer and commercial)
• High volume telephone, letter and email chasing of debt
• Dealing with outstanding payments ranging from £30 to £20k
• Responsible for setting up direct debits, new accounts and payment plans
• Posting cash, BACS and cheque payments to the system
• Worked to strict targets daily regarding calls and debt retrieved
• Carrying out invoicing and billing
• Created and manipulated Excel spreadsheets
• Developed effective relationships with large Blue Chip clients as well as individuals
• Regular liaison with other departments such as billings and accounts payable
• General administration including faxing, filing and photocopying
• Various ad-hoc duties as requested by Credit Manager

You will have:
• Strong credit control experience
• Be IT literate with excellent PC skills in Microsoft Excel
• The ability to work under your initiative and also as part of a team
• A self motivated and professional attitude
